The Donor Stewardship Manager is responsible for donor cultivation events, donor relations and stewardship, accounts payable and administrative support for the Development Department. Key member of Development team in cultivating prospective donors.

Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years’ experience in nonprofit development, or satisfactory combination of education and experience. Exceptional written and verbal communications skills, organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail and proven ability to manage strict deadlines are essential. Prior experience engaging donors on the telephone and in person is required. Diplomacy and patience with demanding donors is critical. Proficient in use of databases, spreadsheets and related software necessary.


  1. Oversee donor stewardship which includes reports due to foundation donors, naming recognition, updates to individual donors, etc. Work directly with prospective donors to cultivate and solicit gifts as appropriate.
  2. Plan and execute cultivation events including Booth Legacy Society for planned giving donors, Corporate Advisory Committee.
  3. Coordinate with Marketing Department on collateral needs such as website and printed materials for Development programs.
  4. Manage board communications calendar. Provide staff support to Board committees and advisory committees, e.g. Development and Communications Committee, Corporate Advisory Committee.
  5. Back up Development Operations Manager with database operations and acknowledgment processing.
  6. Provide administrative support to Development Department, e.g. scheduling meetings, making travel arrangements. Serve as liaison with accounting department on accounts payable.
  7. Other duties as assigned.
